Following the hugely popular Monkey Trail in 2021 this year we bring you ships!

Over the summer the people of Hartlepool will decorate or dress 30 ship sculptures.

Ships will be placed in venues businesses across the town .

Community groups from across the town and representing its diversity, energy and pride will work to decorate the monkeys – with paint, collage, clothes or any other way they can think of.

We don’t have a theme for the ships, but we would like people to respond in one of the following ways:

· To reflect on our maritime history

· To celebrate Tall Ships coming back to town

· To tell a personal story

· To say something positive about the town

· To tell us how you feel about the future.

We want this to be a celebration of a great town that is looking forward, together.
